I recently took a trip to Florida's east coast with my brother to do a little house hunting in the warm weather. We ran across several strings of autoracks parked near Vero Beach. These autoracks really stood out next to the highway.

Dupli-Color makes a product calledAdhesion Promoter, meant to act as a primer for rubber, plastics and chrome but I find this has many applications for model railroading. In short you can compare it to Testors Dull Cote but I actually prefer it in many ways.
Here are the April, May and June 2009 issues of Trainini Magazine in PDF format, published by Holger Späing of Germany. Though in native German... these PDFs are always a treat... thank you Holger for all of your hard work for our scale!

Elevated or “EL” Model Railroading

I received an email from a reader who attended the recent train show in Milwaukee, WI., and they told me about a new company called:
Imagine That, Laser Art Productions.

This new company is producing laser cut “EL”, or elevated train kits and components for several scales. I wrote to them and asked about the possibility of working in Z scale and was told that this may be in the future works for Z. Check out their site and maybe drop them an email if you'd be interested in this decidedly cool idea.
