ZTV: Bullfrog Snot
Instant Traction Tires
October, 2009

Is there anything that says "Model Railroading" more than Bullfrog Snot? Ummm, yeah, probably... but don't let the name scare you off... this Bullfrog Snot is actually a liquid plastic that when applied to a loco's wheels creates a traction tire.

If your not familiar with a traction tire... this is simply one or more wheels on a locomotive that are equipped with a surface that creates just enough friction to help a wheel grip the rail and allows the locomotive to climb steeper grades as well as pull more cars behind it without slipping. Traction tires come installed on some locomotives but with Bullfrog Snot you can apply your own traction tires to your locos. This is good stuff!

Affordable Steam In Z Scale?

If So, This Should Be Popular...

To me there have been 2 things missing in Z scale, reasonably priced steam engines and a short diesel switcher. It looks like we might have one of these licked... kind of.

The Tenshodo company of Japan is producing some interesting Japanese based Z scale steam engines (see YouTube video on our homepage). With some clever shell casting, could this become the new US steamer?

This engine, as well as others in the line, will soon be available here in the US at
Ztrack Center.
